Kanika Bahl is a Managing Director at Results for Development Institute (R4D), where she leads the Market Dynamics practice. She currently co-chairs the UN Commission on Life-Saving Commodities for Women and Children’s Market Shaping group. At R4D, Kanika recently led an engagement to develop the Global Fund Market Shaping Strategy that now underpins its $7B health commodities portfolio, developing approaches to save over $500M on HIV/AIDS drug purchases. She also directs a project on the global bed net marketplace which has identified strategies to save over $600M while aligning manufacturer incentives for innovation.
Prior to joining R4D she served as an Executive Vice President at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), where she managed the launch of the over $400M CHAI-UNITAID ARV donation program across 33 countries and led the design of the multi-billion dollar PEPFAR Supply Chain Management Systems (SCMS) mechanism. Kanika worked previously in emerging markets finance at Bechtel Enterprises and received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
